Happy 100th Birthday, Fenway!

Over the weekend I attended my first baseball game in Fenway Park and Fenway celebrated its 100th birthday. It was a grand event for both of us.

I’ve been to a grand total of three baseball games in my 23 years of life. While the food, beer, sunshine, team spirit—mostly beer—is fun, the game of baseball is just a tad too slow-paced for my liking. I’m more a soccer match spectator. However, Fenway is such a classic stadium and being a Boston resident now, I had to go.

Unlike the two other games I attended, this time I was on a roof deck so I got a view of the whole field and the city. Being able to watch two of the nation’s most favorite/despised teams—Yankees and Red Sox—in the middle of the city was definitely a cool experience. I’ll be back, Fenway!
